I think the same, that bullet was so close that just slightly over towards the head and Trump would have been successfully assassinated and he would be dead right now and no longer an issue.

Looks like Trump was really very lucky indeed.

I've not had a chance to look into it in depth as have been busy but potentially the spectator who jumped into the path of a bullet might have jumped into a path of a bullet that might have successfully killed Trump if it was one heading that way.

Potentially I think this is probably the closest shave nearly successful assassination in history.

It goes to show how polarised politics has become in the US and how antagonisms are growing and boiling over. That happens when people start forming camps and start waving their flag. I feel it's happening in Europe now too.
