Zhena,

Ranetka's wish for motherhood, even belated, is quite valid IMHO and is not the first instance where a relationship met it's demise with a member here for similar reasons.
Well, but she said first she didnt want the kids-and then changed her mind. So I guess she agreed at first not to have the kids...Thats fine. Imagine the situation:your wife after 5 years of marriage proclaiming that,in fact, she always wanted to live in australia-but came to america cos nobody from australia didnt call her. But now,as shes free to go wherever she wants-now she goes there to make her dream come true. This is just an example.

William,
You seriously do not know of any 20-25 year difference marriages that lasted long term?  Have you witnessed any AM/RW marriages with an age gap of 37 years?  If so, how long did it last?
KenC
I know a couple with 32 yeras difference. he looks fit and younger and they have a daughter together. It lasts for 7 years and no sign it will be ended soon.

One couple I know have been married for 7 years with a 20+ year age difference and an even larger gap in physical appeal.  And he does not have a lot of jingle in his pocket.

Somehow they persevere, although it is not a model of blissful love.

I do not recall any left with that big a gap... There may be some. I did not follow up with all of the folks to see if they are still married.

The largest age gap I have come across is a guy named Don (not to be confused with DonAz) who occasionally posts on RWG and RMP.  He has a 40 year age gap and from what he says they are quite happy.   I had thought it was William who said he had met him and he was happy but it could have been someone else.

Kenc,

I read the 1st paragraph of your post and skipped everything to ask, you have been married for 8 years? When you were at 5 years we debated quite heavily. I'm past the 3 year mark and with your 8 years, I realize time is going fast.

With respect to the age gap, take a look at my response in the experienced section in a post by Eastguy, who asked a question about why we keep seeing this discussion come up about age gaps. I'm jealous because the age gap debates keep coming up more than proposing during the 1st meeting (just kidding).

Mark,
Nice to hear from you.  We both defied the odds, others will not be so lucky I am afraid.

Hey guys, your right.... Check out my thread and everyone seeking a FSU woman needs to realize that, in general there is some risk with any FSU woman, but for FSU women in the under 25 category, there is HUGE risk, with many mood swings! My heart has been like a runaway rollercoaster the last week (in regard to the thread about my fiancee) in this forum section..... http://www.russianwomendiscussion.com/index.php?topic=5725.0 Anyway, we live and learn and life goes on and hopefully those new to the FSU dating scene will consider the good advice on this board, and then make their own educated decision on their future choices......
Take care...

Mir,
You would really have to know the history between Mark and I to fully understand the ignorance of your question.

I can accept that.

However please note that I did not make a statement, you did, I just requested a clarification from you about your statement.
